During the week, the SBRs discussed current projects that are in the works to find possible synergies and to ensure every Âé¶¹¹ú²ú university can be kept informed on what’s to come. Current projects included:

• Digital Innovation’s Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Webinar Series
• International Engagement Committee’s upcoming competitions and the return of the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Podcast
• Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Diversity and Inclusion’s panel discussion at this year’s Career Forum
• Advocacy Taskforce’s feedback survey from Âé¶¹¹ú²úies all around the world
Despite being unable to meet in person, the SBRs were able to cover numerous topics, all of which were focused around improving the overall Âé¶¹¹ú²ú experience of everyone in the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú community. Additionally, without the need to travel for the meeting, we can proudly say that this meeting generated zero kerosene emissions, which is in line with the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú’ core value of professional responsibility and accountability in relation to society and the environment.
Thirty-two SBRs, three Executive Team members, two Âé¶¹¹ú²ú alumni who are currently working at McKinsey and the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Executive Director, Roland Siegers, were all able to participate in breakout sessions, full-team meetings or smaller team meetings throughout the week. The Âé¶¹¹ú²ú spirit was high as SBRs worked to find synergies between teams and learn more about playing to each team member’s strengths during the session by McKinsey. Discussions surrounding the elections for the new Student Board Executive Team (ET) were also a part of the meeting and they will begin in the month of October with the new ET starting their one-year term in January 2021.
About the Student Board
The Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Student Board consists of elected representatives from each Âé¶¹¹ú²ú school. It serves a dual role by advocating for the students’ opinions, and managing projects on a global scale, while supporting the thirty-two Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Clubs. Some of the Student Board’s flagship projects include the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Student Board Consulting Cup, the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Gender Equality Network and the Global Ambassador Program.
The Student Board is organized in six functional areas: Marketing &Communications, Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Club Support, Master in International Management Affairs, Corporate & Social Partners, Responsible Leadership and Alumni Relations. Also, each member is allocated to one of the five Project Teams: Advocacy Taskforce, Global Integration, Digital Innovation, International Engagement Committee, and Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Gender Equality Network.
The Board is chaired by the Executive Team, who sets up the Board’s strategy and structure, and supervises the respective teams. This year the Student Board is being led by President, Helena Egge, Vice President Operations, Lee Weisgerber and Vice President Finance, Iaroslav Kriuchkov.Â
