From theory to practice: learning entrepreneurship in action

A central takeaway from Marenostrum 2026 was the opportunity to understand the dynamics of an emerging economy firsthand and to contrast them with more mature markets, particularly in Europe. Through expert-led sessions and corporate interactions, participants explored how entrepreneurs navigate structural challenges, leverage innovation, and drive inclusive growth in rapidly evolving environments.

A key theme across discussions was the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of business. From developing digital solutions tailored to tourism challenges in Egypt to transforming recruitment and decision-making processes in investment banking across the MENA region, AI emerged as a powerful enabler of efficiency and innovation.

The discussions and company interactions further deepened this learning experience. Students engaged directly with professionals to explore topics such as scaling ventures, managing uncertainty, and adapting business models to local market realities. Participants highlighted this as a key takeaway.
