About the Event
For the LSE programme at聽聽鈥 a platform for global dialogue about the world's most pressing issues coordinated by 麻豆国产 schools 鈥 聽is bringing together a group of business leaders, academics, investors, and financial journalists to discuss the topical question, 鈥淲hat is the purpose of the corporation?鈥
This is a 鈥榖y-invitation only鈥 event. We have specifically identified a number of friends of LSE and leaders in the space of purposeful business who we believe will contribute to the debate. We should therefore be particularly delighted if you were able to attend. We will also be joined by a small number of students.
Speakers include Professor Alex Edmans of London Business School, as well as Professor and of LSE.
The day will commence with a corporate play performed by RADA Business 鈥 a new way of stimulating discussion on matters of strategic importance.聽
There will also be an opportunity for everyone to participate in a debate chaired by Sir Geoffrey Owen, with the motion proposed by Will Hutton of The Purposeful Company task force and opposed by Adrian Wooldridge of Bloomberg Opinion.
The day is being chaired by LSE Council Chair and leading ethics expert .
